Dear Fellow Luminarians.
I come to you, not as a person set out to complain, but as a person determined to show that there is a time for change, and it IS now!
Over the p***ing months, many of you may have noticed the increasingly growing lack of care that us players have been receiving. It is blasphemy that we cannot have our questions answered when we should be able to, it is unruly that we are left in the dark on facts of the game that should be known to all of us when we need it. This lack of interest is costing our fellow players and us dearly. I am sure I am not the only one that has witnessed the increasing number of people quitting over the past few months; many of which have been players since beta, many, of whom, are our dearest friends. It breaks my heart that most of these people leaving are because of the lack of interest shown by the creators and owners of this game. NOW, what are these problems that we are faced with?
Let's start with the biggest issue faced with in the game right now: Lack of information on the current issues with the Racoon Paradise and what it is that is being done about it. I know that many of us have asked what the problem is and when can we expect it back? The response of the Luminary staff has been far from appealing. Were received vague answers such as "they are working on it" and nothing further than that. I am one that misses the Racoon Paradise and as I have witnessed, many of you do too. All that is required of the Luminary staff is a simple update about the problem and what is been done about it.
Another issue that I will touch is the ongoing problem of Zeus' Athravan's Town Points. They move up and back down more than the ball in a pinball machine. And the worst part about it all is that the problem has been going on for close to 2 YEARS! Surely with a team like Luminaries, the problem could have been fixed ages ago??ight? Apparently not! Many of you know who Sharilyndria is, and many of you who watch the forums know that she has been posting screen shots and sending in countless numbers of updates on the problem. What does Shar get back? She gets a simple "thanks for the information and the screen shots." There isn't even a simple "Our Developers are looking into it." And even a sentence like that could be a lie so these guys can go back to lounging.
Another event that I would love to highlight to you is something that affected one of my closest friends. For those that have been around long enough, you should all remember the weapons design contest... When the winners were announced over 9 months ago. The winners were paid 5000 G Coin and a High Grade of the weapon they designed. Needless to say, those weapons have yet to be implemented. To top that off, there isn't even discussion among the Luminary staff about implementing these into the game. This is just a hugely prime example of the lack of attention that we players are receiving. And I will not stand for it any more!
When we have a question about the game, or a problem we like to report, where are the GMs that we are suppose to be able to contact? Submit a ticket? Why? So that it can sit in the inbox with the rest of the tickets and be ignored? I think not! Why are the Luminary players so different that we cannot be seen, that we cannot be heard, that we cannot be informed?
The growing numbers of glitches in this game are a fine way to show the lack of attention. For example, one of the bigger issues with the ijji players is that they cannot transfer over the ijji coin to the NDOORS coin. Some of these people have spent hundreds of dollars, and it is just sitting in the wallets of main men in this corporation while nothing is being truly done to help these IM buyers. They are paying real dollars for crying out loud, why can they not have a faster response time to their problem?
As I am on the topic of IM, let me point out that literally thousands of US dollars are spent daily to get G Coin that is later used to by things such as Gold Keys and Miracle Hammers. Both of these items are big time sellers and BOTH of these also have a huge gambling aspect to them that lies fraudulently to us. Gold Keys are supposed to have a 7% chance and Silver have a slightly lower chance of 5%. Using simple math, it should not take more than 15 Gold or 20 Silver to get the monthly rare. Yet there are dozens of cases where people use insane amounts that sometime exceed 50 keys. Do the math. And that is $150 USD. With hammers, many people use them to increase the amount of time it takes to get the higher ranks of 7,8,9, and 10. It is my own personal experience that I was sucked into buying hammer over hammer because I kept failing and feeling the next one was it. I??e spent over $150 USD on just trying for rank 9, and I'm still trying. Not to mention all that I spent for the 14+ failures on rank 7. I've had over 35+ fails on rank 9 alone. 11% success with hammers is false advertising, otherwise I should have had rank 9 close to 4 times over. And there are plenty of others that are being screwed the same way I am. If the response from the GMs that relay the Developers message is "It isn't always accurate." Why isn't it? What is the point of buying then if they don't work?
There are countless things that I could go own talking about this game that are wrong, but for those that actually read this far, I do not want to bore you anymore with what you already know. So all I would like to do to show that we ARE people, and that we DO deserve respect, I want as many people as possible to do as a wise man once said "We need to boycott the IM, so that we ARE noticed."
Even if some of you are not willing to do this task to help change the game for the better, I simply request that you attach this tag into your signature to support a change for the better of the luminary world.
Thank you for taking the time to read my speech, and I hope that all of us may join hands and show: The Time For Change IS NOW!
