Note: The Poetry Contest is now closed and in the voting stage. So everyone, whether you entered or not, please read through the poems and vote for the ones you think are 1st, 2nd and 3rd best out of the ones that are at least 8 lines (votes for poems shorter than 8 lines won't count). Hey Athena. Hope everyone is doing well. I've decided to host a poetry contest in support of Roxanlita for S11 goonzu. To clarify, Roxanlita is in no way affiliated with this, and the event is open to all, whether you plan to vote for her or not, but she has my complete support, and by this event I intend to get that word out. I encourage you to check out the thread about her running, and read for yourself about her qualifications. Ok, now to the very simple, but hopefully fun, contest.
To take part, all you must do is write an original poem of at least 8 lines, but preferably no more than 30, and post it as a reply to this thread. The poem can be about anything. It doesn't have to be about luminary. It can be funny, romantic, sad, or whatever. Just write what you feel like writing as a poem. Please don't be shy. Also, only one poem per person please.
After the end of Thursday, Feb 25th, no further entries will be accepted. Then, starting first thing Friday, I would like everyone who wishes to vote on the top three poems they liked the most, choosing first, second, and third. Please don't vote for yourself though. At the end of Saturday, Feb 27th, I will total the votes and list the top three.
Prizes: 1st place = 30 Blessing Stones / 2nd place = 20 Blessing Stones / 3rd place = 10 Blessing Stones / Every other entrant will receive 5 Blessing Stones, even if they got no votes at all. On Sunday, please make sure you have room for me to post you your stones.

Once again, I bring you this event so that you will take a closer look at Roxanlita for S11 goonzu. And I apologize the rewards aren't larger, but it's the best I can afford right now. Please have fun with the contest and get writing!
